“tomorrow will be a good day…”

With the current message remaining that people should work from home where possible, the team at annabel is taking a leaf from lockdown hero Captain Sir Tom Moore’s message that “tomorrow will be a good day…” to offer you a few positive ideas as to how we can support you; taking tiny steps as England moves towards potentially easing lockdown restrictions in June.

  • reorganise and administer all the cancelled bookings, tickets, reservations not to mention travel schedules including claiming refunds and creating a rescheduling plan

  • review your current insurance schedule (home, travel, PMI etc) and make recommendations prior to your next renewal period as well as combining all your renewal dates and important documents into one household encyclopaedia saved securely online and linked to your outlook diary for real-time reminders. Our friends at Vizion Insurance have put together a great post on spring cleaning your insurance policies and we have previously shared this checklist from Weatherbys Hamilton on how to make an inventory of all your possessions

  • sort and organise old photos and memorabilia, a wonderful trip, wedding, milestone birthday and present as a beautiful photobook to add to your own collections or as a gift for someone special.

  • curate your video footage of a holiday or work project into a professionally cut video memory

  • collect paperwork (including post) that may be starting to fill up your in-tray; sort/action/order it to keep the decks clear for our return

  • start to think about how to take your office on-line – digitally storing your documents to create an efficient paper-free system and having a detox of all those old emails at the same time.
  • gather last year’s Christmas cards (or your handwritten list) into an efficient and future-proofed spreadsheet of all the information you need to write and send your cards in super quick time and with all the information at your fingertips – no more rushing to catch the last posting date before Christmas!

  • assist in the preparation of your year-end self-assessment and liaise, where relevant, with your accountant to get all the information ready for submission.

  • manage any bespoke projects you’ve been meaning to get started, including home renovation projects and creating a household maintenance schedule for post-lockdown.
