the co-founders

annabel jefferson

Annabel graduated from Marlborough Secretarial College, Cambridge, in 1985, and began her career at Martini & Rossi UK. She spent the next 23 years in the international sports industry, starting at IMG in 1988 as a Marketing Executive in the Tennis Client Division. In 1995, she became a Marketing Manager at the ATP, and in 2005, she joined the WTA, eventually becoming Senior Director of Sponsor & Event Services.

In 2011, Annabel launched a sports consultancy, which evolved into annabel and collaboration with her former colleague and friend, Annabel Bunch. With expertise in marketing, sponsorship, event management, and a strong understanding of high-pressure roles, Annabel brings a resourceful and diplomatic approach to annabel.

Annabel, a standout Executive Secretary began her career as a legal secretary at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She entered the sports world at IMG in 1991 working as a PA for senior executives and engaging with her childhood tennis idols. An invitation to join The Camelot Group for the inauguration of the National Lottery was a unique experience followed by a step back into tennis until 2003 as EA to the Chief Operating Officer of the men’s professional tennis tour (ATP), managing his demanding schedule, travelling extensively and contributing to charitable projects. By 2005 (and by then, balancing a young family), Annabel had started to build a portfolio of clients as a private PA and in 2013, annabel was established alongside her friend and colleague, Annabel Jefferson.

With over 30 years of experience and a client base built on personal recommendations, she continues to approach her private client work with passion and dedication whilst also being committed to growing annabel and sharing her expertise to empower the annabel team.

The team has a varied and wide skill-set ranging from bookkeepers to travel consultants and project managers to headhunters – all bringing their business and life experiences into delivering an exceptional service to our clients.

All consultants have a clean basic disclosure statement, provide a written confidentiality agreement and are covered by public liability insurance.

Whilst the team is adept at working remotely, we place a strong emphasis on regular face-to-face time with our clients.

Our team is geographically dispersed covering London and the following areas: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire and Yorkshire. We also have a consultant based in Paris, France.
